Dr. Enrique Ritter is a recently retired senior research officer of NEIKER (Spain). He has 35 years experience particularly in breeding, molecular biology and genetics and is working in different fields of theoretical and practical molecular biology including DNA marker technology, linkage mapping, QTL analysis, and differential expression techniques. He has worked in different forest and crop species, but particularly in potato and oil palm. During his R&D trajectory he was coordinator of 15 national R&D projects and principal investigator in 13 additional national projects. He has participated as principal investigator or coordinator in 20 international projects or research contracts. During this time, he has published over 100 articles in scientific journals and has written 9 book chapters.
